I wonder if any PH ers could give me some advice ...

A rather nice E39 520i ES SE Auto is coming my way soon, as my Father is changing his car. The BMW is an 03 plate but has only done 34k gentle miles as my Parents are retired & the car spends most of its life in the garage, is is like new .

So my old man wants it to go to a good home = mine.

Anyway although the engine is a nice one, it does lack power, especially with an auto.

Therefore would anyone recommend a chip or remaps that could increase power & economy ..?

Ideally as close to the North East as possible ..

I've read it many times on here but, remapping a naturally aspirated car provides very little gain.

Possibly 1-2BHP?

Probably not what you want to hear but really very little point in chipping that car, lowliest of all the petrol engines, and any difference from chipping it would be soaked up by the slushbox.
