smelly aircon

Hi, got a E46 320d - 2003 and when i knock aircon off it smells, got a Comma aerosol to sweeten it up but need to put re-circulation thingy on for it to work, thing is i cannot find my instruction book and do not know which icon to set it to - A on left or 0 on right? can some kind soul set me right? thanks in anticipation. Cliff.

0 on right.

A on left is the auto mode that detects nasties in the air and switches over to recirc on its own.

Interestingly mine has never actually switched to recirc by itself so God only knows how nasty the incoming air has to be to trigger it.

Yep it certainly seems to, bit strong for the first few hours but seems quite pleasant now,suppose only time will tell but worth a try ( about 11quid from Halfrauds )
