Interloper from the Mercedes forum here, I need to sell my wife's old 3 Series (a 2001X 325Ci Auto). It has done 105,000 miles and whilst mechanically I think it's in pretty sound condition it has a few of the sorts of knocks and problems that you would expect from a car of that age. It has:

- Damaged bump trim on one of the doors
- A shallow but large-ish dent on the sill behind the passenger door
- A problem with the air conditioning that I thought was gas, but having had it recharged appears is something else
- A small squeak from the steering column

Do you think it's worth getting them fixed for sale, or am I better off taking it to a trader and getting the best price I can, leaving them to fix the problems? I want to sell it fairly quickly as she's moving abroad.

And if anyone on here is interested in purchasing, feel free to get in touch.....

P.S. It has FSH and one lady owner since it was about six months old (BMW management car initially), and had about £600 spent on brand new pads and shoes about four months ago, since when it has done very little mileage.

That could run into quite a few pennies at retail cost.

PM me full details and how much you want.
