X5 e70 msport HPI Value
Discussion
looking to buy a e70 msport x5 pref high spec with 7 seats
I found one I liked so did a quick HPI check – came back ok however the HPI valution came back with “private sale £27,739”
This car is up for £38k (as are most of the other similar ones)
Are the sellers dreamers or has HPI got it's head in the clouds ??
Anyone know what the REAL trade value is ??
thanks

I guess we'd need more info - year, plate, spec, etc to give a value?I found one I liked so did a quick HPI check – came back ok however the HPI valution came back with “private sale £27,739”

Check what other dealers are asking - theres a national search facility on www.bmw.co.uk and you can be quite specific about what to search for.
Technically, theres no such thing as 'real trade value' as they are at best only a guide. Typically a dealer will be looking for a £5000 gross margin on something like this, so as a rough rule of thumb, knock £5K off for what it stands the dealer.
