E39 Help!

Hi guys, finally got the car back from mums house now.


Couple of things I want sorted on it, it needs an a/c regass first of all, what is the cost of this?


Also noticing when I go over speed bumps the drivers side suspension has a rattle sound, quite metallic.. I just saw another e39 go by and it had the same thing?! Any ideas?

you may find this is road chippings thrown up and trapped behind the disc back plate,these then rattle like stones in a tin can. I have had this several times and it can be a difficult to remove them without a strip down !! pete.c

Kwik Fit will do a regas from £45, typically I hear it's nearly always more. You're not looking at an arm and a leg though.

A metallic rattling that I had turned out to be a loose shield near the front o/s disc/calliper. I took it back to the garage that had recently sold me the car and they just tightened a couple of bolts to fix.
