The lights on my e39 530d are all over the shop sometimes they are pointing a few feet in front of the car and next there blinding on coming traffic they are constantly moving up and down,any suggestions to fixing the problem?

There are a couple of sensors that control the headlamp aim, one or both of these has probably developed a fault.

Cheers for that just found the problem the front sensor arm was the fault
