Hi all,
Title should read Buying questions frown
We are looking at getting a E46 325 / 330 Convertible, couple of very basic questions
What are the main difference between sport & non sport?
We will need a hard top, I have seen somewhere that the car has to be hard top prepped, what does this entail?
We are looking at 2001 to 2003 cars, is the facelift version the one to go for or should the decision be on condition & mileage.
Main differences of the facelift (apart from lights)?
Key things to look out for ?
Do the prices drop by much at the end of the summer?
Thank you
GF15 (had to create a new log in, as old one is wonky).

I recently purchased mine around 3 months ago. Fantastic Car.

330ci sport convertible.

Go for the sport - the 2.5/3 use around the same fuel.

The noise from the 330ci is better.

The sport has a different bumper (front and rear) and skirts as far as I am aware. Silver inners in the headlights.

Probably some sport suspension to go along with it.

Thats all I know.

Mine is an early 01 - Bought because of my budget!

The facelift will be a 6 speed box too assuming it's manual. I personally think the prefacelift model look much better otherwise they would of changed the M3 wink so judge on condition.

In the time I've owned my '02 model 330 the things which seem to have gone are bushes and I think my rear spring is going which are all apparently common problems so check for them. Other than that it has been very smooth sailing.
