If it really is mint condition, it could be worth between 5500 and 6500. The values of good E30 325i convertibles has shot up recently.

They seem to be selling for silly money.

i would say it is 99% no rust, but the odd stone chip and 1 small scratch. its been very well looked after.

the hood looks like new.

If its 99% mint what is it worth!?

Manual or Auto?

I reckon more than £2-3k but not massively so. I've seen a few at dealers for £5k+ - Although seriously doubt they get that for 'em

Old Colonel Cars have one coming on sale next week, similar mileage, same colour but with tan instead of black leather interior. Their cars tend to be pretty much spot on, this will also give you an idea of the value of the car.

These cars really go on condition now. Mileage and number of owners isn't that important, even a full service history isn't that big a deal. A good E30 is a rare car indeed, especially one that is standard and they really do stand out. Rust, neglect and crash damage are the biggest killers.

As I said earlier, the values of these cars really has gone up recently. North of five grand would not suprise me if it's in very good nick.

Any tips on checking if it is very good one compared to just a good one. This has no visible rust and all looks good down below.

How can I spot if it may be a potential rogue?

The main areas for rust are the scuttle panels, rear arches and front floor pan/wheel arch junction so look for signs of rust/repair in those areas. The scuttle panel and rear arches (viewable from the boot too) are easy to see but you will need to lift the carpet if possible to see the floor pan.

This is for the hard tops but I assume the verts are similar.

What Benny said basically.

Mechanically the M20 engine is very strong, they can get tappety at high miles and will overheat if they haven't had regular coolant changes. They have a cam belt and it is good to have this changed when you buy the car, then every 30,000 miles or three years after that.

Is the car an auto or a manual?

£2750. Looking to buy, keep for winter and of course enjoy and sell as convertible season picks up for at least what I paid for it.

BUY IT!!, Quick like, as long as it is generally rot free, runs well, (which it sound from previous posts like it is OK on this front) and HPi clear.
