Diff Help Please - E38 & E34

Can anyone help please and confirm if a 3.23 E34 3.8 M5 diff can be used without too much fitting hassle in an E38 Alpina B12 which has the same 3.15 LSD as the 750i.

IIRC the driveshafts (may be its the flanges ) are slightly different, so you may neeed more bits off the M5.

If you are going to have a big-case 3.15 LSD leftover I'd be interested in that for my E34! (540, 2.93:1...)

If you just need some new internals then the E36 3.0l M3 uses a 3.15 LSD if that's any good.

The B12 and M5 diff would be the big 210mm case.

I'm not sure on the actual casings, but the m5 internals should fit in the B12 diff if they are both 210s, and you'd keep any fancy finned covers if alpina fitted them.
