318 Compact tuning

I am converting a 318ti Compact for use as a tarmac rally car. Initially it will run a standard engine but will be looking be looking for more power in the future. What would be the most reliable/cost effective way of increasing power nearer to 200bhp. Its an M44 1891cc 4 cylinder 16v.
