I currently run a merc ML320 CDI (56 plate) and am thinking of changing to a 5 Series touring (530d M series business edition )
Does anyone run one of these ?
If so, what are your experiences / thoughts ?
I have had a demo in one and was very impressed.

Thanks in anticipation.

Tony.

My 5 series is a saloon and 535d M Sport but plenty of the ownership experience will be the same for both cars. There have been loads of threads which are worth scrolling through.

Topline is that it is a great car. Ride on 19" wheels isn't the best but other than that it is fast, frugal and I think stylish but that's a matter of opinion I suppose.

The Touring version will of course add space but unless you have a dog or something which really necesitates an estate don't rule out the saloon - the boot is big and you might have more choice if you opt for a demo or similar.

I went for the 535d having considered the 530d - never regretted it.

Try www.e60.net for loads of info.

I had a 535d sport touring and they are fantastic, if you need the space there is no better car, I have an A6 3.2 avant at the moment and it is slightly more comfy but falls behind in every other area.
