Opinions on this 323i

Hi Guys,

Any opinions on this 323i before I go and have a look? He is ofering me a decent p/x price, but was wondering on peoples thoughts on the car....

Anything to look out for?
Will it suffer the Nikasil issue due to its age?

looks ok mate, its a 1997 so nicasil will be an issue but dont let that put you off, just make sure its not burning oil,blue smoke when started and lumpy idle.
check the rear arches for a repair or rust, also where the front wings meet the panel that runs under the headlights, thats a common place for rust to set in.
check that its not pulling left/right under braking, front rear arm bushes are a weak spot,
the usual e36 niggles are easily sorted out, usualy bushes on suspension.
apart from the usual, check theres no preasure in the cooling system, you should be able to remove the cap and no water come out, if its bubbling up then poss head gasket/head.
