E46 Touring tail lights

[ipwn]

Why didn't BMW ever put the LED tail lights on the tourings or Saloons ?

I believe it was only convertibles and Coupes that got this treatment....

Does anyone know if it is possible to retrofit them onto the tourings or are they different sizes?

edit all, they're a completely different shape
