Engine damaged

Can anyone recommend a garage in manchester area which will be able to repair a 2003 e60 530d cylinder head. Stealership said 12k for new engine, Cars only worth £9k.
50,000 1 owner and one of the valves are damaged.

Thats nothing back in 1990 when Merc SL R129 V8's self destructed (due to crap design) it was 20k for a new motor.

Even if they gave 50% it would still probably cost the OP more than getting it done elsewhere.

Start writing letters to the big boys. I'm sure they would warranty their engines being it's under 100k miles.
