Bridgestone Potenza Runflats
Discussion
I have recently fitted a pair of these to the rear of my 535d Touring M-Sport, having had Goodyear Eagles previously. I was expecting good things from the Bridgestones but the grip levels in the dry are terrible. After a couple of thousand miles they are no better.
Anyone else had any experiences with these. I'm almost tempted to take them back to the tyre fitter and state that they are not fit for purpose.

I really think these BMW runflats are very specific to different models.
My wifes 118d M Sport came with Pirelli Runflats. All four need changing after just 14,000 miles. She now has Bridgestone Potenza Runflats, which looks like they will last twice as long, and we cant fault them for wet or dry grip.
I've heard similar bad things about the Pirilli's on 1 Series, but they are good on other models, and vice versa the bridgestones.

Hopeless tyres, absolutely dire. No grip, incredibly hard ride, excessive wear on the inside edges. Anyone else had any experiences with these. I'm almost tempted to take them back to the tyre fitter and state that they are not fit for purpose.
The Michelin equivalent is far better (though still not as good as a non run flat tyre IMO)
I've the Bridgestone's on my 118d and although the car is a little light on power I have no problems with grip (sometimes lively in the wet of roundabouts but due to my foot). The car has the 18's if that makes any difference but would be interested to try her on the other brands for comparison perpose.
