Was it this DXB dude that attracted the bad stigma to the 335d?
Just read on the thread started by 335diesel about DXBs car in Adenau (cracking story) and it got me wondering
OR is it that some, not all people cant accept that diesels are now a viable altenative to a petrol powered performance car?

I think people just found it funny when he compared it to M5s RS6s and 997 turbos.Just read on the thread started by 335diesel about DXBs car in Adenau (cracking story) and it got me wondering

+1 Agreed. I thought he came across as an ok guy most of the time, he maybe just got a bit carried away at times - hardly a hanging offence on an enthusiast's forum ! The subsequent hounding he got had more than a whiff of the lynch-mob about it which I didn't think was warranted.Come back Carlos all is forgiven !

heads got hold of them and started to troll for england about them

At one moment I lifted off mid-bend and felt the cheeky tail shuffle sideways. I just caught it with a dab of oppo and I was away.

Cheers for the welcome back a few of you. Much appreciated
I'm always out enjoying my car, whether Santa pod or at the Nurburgring. People just don't wwant to believe there quicker than previous Gen M3s.
Also quicker than e39 m5s. Won't touch an e60 one.
What's this about adaneu Germany !

There was a note on the windscreen of your car asking if it was 'mapped'.
We were amazed how your reputation preceedes you.
yes there was. My friends and I found it rather funny. Please tell me where this is mentioned else where on this forum, I have not seen it mentioned anywhere ??We were amazed how your reputation preceedes you.
For a minute there... just for a minute, having read a few of the posts in this thread, i thought it was going to be serious, just for a minute.
The 35d engine is brilliant, no two ways about it. I spend a lot of time in a 5 series sporting this engine, with a remap, it is probably better - I dunno, not tried it. However, and this is a massive however, I don't give a toss if it beats an E46 M3 or an E39 M5 by a fraction of a second around a track, the guys in their M cars are having way more fun. I couldn't think of a more boring car to take to the Pod, put into 'D' and put my foot down in.
The 35d is a nice compromise between pace and running costs when driven in the real world. I say this because I have ragged a 35d around and seen some terrible returns in terms of mpg.
If I needed a company car to waft up the motorway and effortlessly change lines, speed up etc, I'd have one.
I want a car with a nice engine note, thats a bit of fun, a car that doesn't take itself too seriously. I'd be starting a law suit against you if I were BMW
Carlos, as you have really done some serious damage to the image of what is basically a good car.
