I know our 520d Msport certainly has different sizes front to rear but it's on optional 19" wheels (non-runflat)
I think the standard 18" run flats are as you described.

You should be glad - it's a real pain not being able to rotate tyres on a staggered set-up.

the car has Msport 18 wheels, Eagle NST5 runflats on it which are OK. But i want to switch back to normal tyres, do i then need to switch to different widths front and rear? Question is what sizes do i now need?

Stay with the same size.

I think the touring has same sized tyres all 'round because BMW decided the different arch design was too tight for the 275 tyre. I believe this is why the 19" wheel option wasn't originally available.

That said you can now have the 19" wheel on the touring so who knows.

Stick with the same size tyres all 'round' as previously stated - it makes it easier to rotate if required and will be cheaper.

Tourings usually have the same size rims / tyre front and back, check the tyre pressure label on the drivers door b post to confirm the correct fitment.
