535d M Sport Price's all over the place !!

Looking to buy a 535d M Sport at the min and prices for comparable cars seem to be all over the place,

Basically I am looking for a Black with black or black with cream under 60k miles 05 - 06, on autotrader they go from 14K to about 25k quite a spread anyone giot any idea why the massive spread ?

Because a bunch of dealers won't accept reality!
I paid 28 for my car with 10k miles and 14 months old at the end of last year - there were dealers holding out for 8k more than that for less good cars.
Funny old world/market.

My old man bought new one in 2005 for 50k. Got car jacked a year later and got 32k for it.

The cheapest will have high miles and low spec - often no NAV - also full leather wasnt standard and some were sold without. I've also seen some SE's with M Sport bits added which look convincing in a tiny little pic.

I'd have thought around £17/18K for one with sensible miles and a decent spec would be about right for an 05.

just picked mine up from a BM dealer in the south of england yesterday. 55 car 535d M Sport 50k on the clock, full BMer history, serviced, very well presented (I mean spotless) nav pack, media pck. Ok, it's platinum silver and will have to grow on me but what a car - for £20k (ish). 19 inch alloys (Christ those tyres are going to cost!!). I have seen them cheaper but not via a dealer at this spec but hope you find one. I-drive is a bit of a distraction but had a grin from ear to ear on the drive home ......

Thanks for the replies seems its not just me then. Just sold a 997's and really want something to eat the miles ( have borrowed a 520d m sport which is ok once moving)

Black seems to incurr a premium and the seem very spec sensitive , will keep looking

I am thinking of selling my March 2005 530d, 59K miles, extended BMW warranty until April 2010, satnav upgraded to perspective view, dark metallic silver (can't remember official colour) & black leather.
