New Z4 Roadster
Discussion
Hi,
I tried a 35i a month ago and bought it. I had a TVR T350 at the time and wanted something newer and easier to live with. Since, I've done a 1000 miles without any real regrets. Although the T350 on paper was quicker and certainly louder in the real world at slightly above alowable speeds
round my favorite country roads the Z is fantastic, the acceleration is instant, the DCT seamless and the adaptive suspension is way better than my upgraded Nitron suspension on the TVR . After never wanting a BMW of any sort this car is realy good.

Hi,
Coming from 2 previous TVRs which were pretty extreme I didn't try any other engine other than the 3ltrTT so I cant comment on the 2.3. Its definately not as loud as the TIV but the straight six still has a nice grunt especialy if the DCT is in sport which allows it to rev a bit. The surprise for me was I was used to getting to above 3-4000 revs to get the best of the speed six but the 3ltrTT pulls very hard from nothing!
You realy need to have a go in one, if your anywhere Portsmouth your welcome to have a ride in mine.

The 35i is a great car I love mine. I have done 4000 miles and it puts a smile on my face everytime I get in it. Lots of people have posted on here saying they are not sure about the looks but I have had more positive comments about this car than any other. The DCT box is great especially in sport mode and it feels properly quick. It makes a pretty good noise although I would admit those coming from TVRs will find it a bit quiet. I like the interior too feels like a big leap forward from the previous Z4.

Yea, I`m tending to agree although I`ve only got the 2.3 on loan it seems a lot more sane than my Z4MC, whilst that`s not normally what I`m looking for today I`ve really enjoyed it. Can only imagine the 35 is much more of the same. What does yours sound like?
I've a 23i. Would have went for 30i (35i out of budget) but I got an amazing deal on the 23i. I'd try and get a drive in one with adaptive suspension.I can touch an indicated 39 mpg on a regular 50 mile trip that I do also.
Hi There
Picked up my new 30i on Wednesday. I also had a TVR and wanted something easier to live with and no job list attached, I am more than pleased with the Z4. It does feel safe but it still makes me smile, driving it hard it feels more planted, as for the engine noise well to be honest it makes a nice change to hear the stereo!!
Absolutely no regrets!!!
