auto open/close of windows with key

when holding the unlock button down on the key all the windows open.

when holding the lock button down on the key only the passenger window closes, the drivers side remaining open.

how do i reset the system so the drivers side works properly???

Press and hold the window switches down for 5 seconds after they get to the bottom

Hmmm. I'll try that on my E46 coupé - it seems a bit moody.
Opening and closing works so long as you don't need it to. For example, if it's raining and I've left the windows open the remote won't work.
Other times it'll work. Mostly.

Does it do the same with both keys? I thought it was a key thing, but I suspect paoloh is correct.
