radiator hose should it be covered under AUC warranty

Have a coolant leak from 6 series. BMW dealer diagnosis is radiator leak through hose and faulty sensor. They are checking whether radiator hose is covered under warranty. I can't see this as wear and tear so i would have thought it should be.

Anyone else had this issue with BMW warranty?
