Just bought a 78K miles 2000 (W) E38 728i - very pleased with it!
Couple of issues though and I wonder if anyone can help.
Just picked up a 2000 (W) 78K miles 728i E38 and I am very pleased with it but have a couple of questions if someone would be kind enough..............
The aircon fan seems very noisy? It took me a few minutes to realise what was making the noise (sounds almost like a noisy fuel pump) and dissappears completly if I switch off the aircon button. Any ideas? Is this normal and/or is there a fix for it.
Another query is the the rear seatbelt in the middle. My car just has a lap strap but I understand a 'proper' 3 point belt was an option. Is it possible to retrofit this? Would be useful as we often have 3 kids in the back. I take it if the option was purchased then the reel would have still been at the bottom on the seat base and the shoulder strap would have been fixed? I found a part number of 72118208843 and think this is the correct part but is it a feasible retrofit? Would I need any other parts?
All help appreciated!
