Over two years ago my E30 318iS blew it's cylinder head and it's been sitting on my driveway every since. I've had the intention of getting it back on the road eventually, and a kind machinist friend of mine has been reconditioning the head in his spare time and it's pretty much ready. However as it's been off the road so long as well as the cost of having the top end rebuilt it'll need 4 new tyres, most likely new brake hoses and probably a few other bits, as well as a fresh MOT.

With that in mind I've been thinking perhaps I'd be better off just selling it as a project for a few hundred quid, although I'm not as sure now as good examples seem to be going for a fair bit: http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1279833.htm is that a realistic price or a bit over the odds?

What do people think? And also, if I do sell it as a project, what sort of price is best? It's worth mentioning the car is red and quite faded so will need going over with a mop and some farecla or something, and there is a bit of filler on the rear corner which needs sanding and painting. I'm not terribly sentimental about it either, as much as I'd like to see it back on the road I would plan to sell it very soon after.

Thanks in Advance

Matt
