i have a bmw 528i on the passenger side under the bonnet the is a small wire connected to a black switch then goes to some other cables when u turn the car on this seems to open sorry about desription but dont know what its called its snaped any ideas what its called thanks jackie

Firstly may I suggest some punctuation, it makes for much easier reading

I would suggest taking a photo and hosting it somewhere like photobucket.com so we have a better idea.
Us 5 series owners can then refer to our cars if need be with a good idea to look for.

Presuably you have no running issues?
