I've been scouring the web for a Haynes Manual regarding the E34 5 Series, the best I have found is one that covers both the 3 and 5 series. The problem is the manual is only meant for cars (E34's) up to J reg.

My car is on an M. Will the information in this particular manual still cover the newer cars (i.e. built after 1991)?

Any help guys?

Yes, but if you have a 24v, you'll need an e36 one to cover the engine

Damn my memory, the 325 and the 525 have the same engine indeed.

Thanks for the heads up wink

Or get the Bentley manual for the E34. Covers all engine variants.

As Hammerhead said...Bentley's is probably you're better option. I have both this and the Haynes. They're not mutually exclusive so it's worth having both. You can usually pick up the Haynes really cheaply. The Bentley usually goes for about £50-quidish which always seems a bit steep for a paperback book ( I have it for other BMW models as well)...but it's a chunky paperback, clearly written and in the grand scheme of things money well invested.

There are a few for sale on Ebay currently.

p.s be a little wary of some postage costs from the USA.

The bentley manual is pretty much the TIS copied word for word, so a TIS disc would be handy also
