Cracking show.
Though I feel this may 'split' opinion
It could go around and around.Though I feel this may 'split' opinion

Clearly the problem is the fashion for silly low profile tyres (No problems on my 60 section tyres). However if BMW are going to sell those wheel tyre combinations in the UK they really should cope with the average UK driver on the average UK road.

Typical Watchdog attention to detail, saying its only 19 inchers in question then
showing Dom picking up 18's.
Some of the motoring stories on this show have been laughable. Such as the "Why dont cars flex enough to keep all 4 wheels on the ground no matter what angle surfaces you drive up". Or the "My handbrake keeps coming off when I don't set it properly" story.showing Dom picking up 18's.

Affects wheels with run flat tyres fitted. Have BMW taken into account the reduction in the shock absorbtion properties of the tyre sidewall, when designing the wheels?
It was BMW in the 1980s that advertised that genuine parts were better. The example they used for comparison were wheels, with X rays of both to show how superior their genuine parts were.
Just goes to show that BMW are not interested in their customers, only in their profits.

A note to mods...This item is about a TV programme about BMW and their refusal to accept any responsibility about cracked alloys
but I think it would be better here than in TV or BMW or News as I think it deserves a wider audience and falls into lots of catogories so I would appreciate it if you would leave it here..please!

With respect this would have far more relevance in the BMW Forum, for obvious reasons.but I think it would be better here than in TV or BMW or News as I think it deserves a wider audience and falls into lots of catogories so I would appreciate it if you would leave it here..please!

Either way there was no need to close the thread in the BMW forum. All that will do is restrict viewing. A few hours on GG and it will be over the page and forgotten.................

Unfortunately while having that discussion I missed what he said. What did he say?
he couldn't talk about specific cases and he said a lot of words but he kept getting interrupted with silly questions so what he did say amounted to a load of guffGassing Station | BMW General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff

no idea!
