It'll have a standard diffenrential on it, not a limited slip differential (unless someone has fitted one later on).

Some early Sports came with LSD's (up to @ '96 I believe), but their as rare as people who can work out the plot to Bullitt!.

nono Reckon again then!. When BMW introduced traction control on the E36 they dropped the LSD option.

Trust Me, I have a genuine '97 Sport with Avus suspension and ASC+T traction control. From '96 onwards there was no LSD option.

And if you're looking for a 328i Sport 2.93 LSD to fit to your car, good luck to You!, they are seriously rare!.

An easier option that some owners go with, is to fit the 3.15 LSD from the 3.0 M3 (not the 3.2 evo diff as that requires alot more parts for the conversion).

I bow to your superior knowledge sir!

My reply was based, wrongly, on the '95 328i Coupe sitting on my drive with an LSD...I've no idea of the ratio but I assume it would be different to those that were fitted the Sport verison pre '96

Mike, easy way to remember it on E36's:

ASC on a Sport = No LSD
No ASC = LSD

I know for a fact the 328 you have doesnt have one; I've spent enough time sideways in it to know that wink
