Run it on the hottest setting for about 1/2 hour. All vents open.

I'd wait for a cold day and do it with the windows open on a normal trip to save wasting fuel wink

Check the pollen filter, may be saturated?

Just mouldy or a bit like rotten eggs? Any linkage with just having used the screen washers?

I'm not being funny but there are some screen wash combinations where the dregs of the old and the new react and create a god awful honk. Had it on an old car and subsequently seen it in two or three other cars on the forums so rare but possible. If it is, just use your hose to wash out the tank then spray through before refilling ... then stick to one type only.
