Turbo Diesel Convertible WANTED!!
Discussion
Hey all, names Kai. . . I'm new here, browsed the site a good few times and it seems great! Thought I'd test it out by letting you know looking for a newish second hand ('04+) Turbo Diesel Convertible, would be preferable if viewing could be arranged for tomorrow.
I have a pretty tight budget, around 14K MAX!
I was thinking perhaps a 3 Series. . .
I'm not to familiar with BMW Diesels, but it seems they're getting very good reviews lately, specially newer turbo diesels! Very powerful, reliable and efficient/economical.
I've found a few saloon/coupe/estates with turbo diesels but can't find anything in my price range convertible.
I'm not interested in the naturally aspirated diesels, all of my friends and many people in other forums disregard them. . . Also in the Torque Cars forum, they mentioned tuning diesels and having major performance and efficiency when remapped! But only when it came to the turbo variants. . .
It seems power outputs are near identical in the turbo and non turbo cars on the auto traders performance and economy pages, but I've known these to be inaccurate and wanted to ask the real owners and enthusiasts on what the turbo situation is on the newer BMW Convt's.
I hope to hear from many of you soon, pretty urgent! Sorry about the post, very rushed I know, tight deadline. . .

Haha I wish
It's just so much more economic and to be honest, I love the torque of a diesel, and the fact they're so easy to tune!
It's also for the old lady mostly!
It was either a Strong masculine BMW or a hideous SLK! And if it wasn't for the running cost, we'd be going with the M3 coupe, trust me!

Invaluable information, really!
I'll be sure to verify with any owners before agreeing to view any cars in person!
It was my original plan, I say mine. . . the boss was going to be the one phoning and arranging things, but she nor I wanted to sound out of the know by asking if the car had a turbo if none of them would have been produced with such!
