E46 330d let me down

Guys need some help, driving home from work last night, engine light came on and engine just stopped whilst driving down dual carriageway, and would not restart...

Recovery driver could not get car restarted, she is being recovered to BMW dealers this afternoon. She is covered by Warranty Direct.

Any ideas....

Very odd. Not heard of this happening before, High Pressure pump perhaps (£££).

I hope one of your swirl flaps didnt snap off and go south......

My money is on one of the fuel pumps but not the high pressure one.
