Afternoon everyone,

I currently own a 2003 BMW 330CI auto Convertible.
The problem (if it is a problem) is there is a small noise / sound (hard to describe but almost a clicking sound) from the car when changing between 1st and 2nd and when changing back down from 2nd to 1st. This sound is only noticeable when either the roof is down or all the windows are down.

Has anyone else experienced similar problems? I will be getting this checked out soon but thought I would ask on here first.

Is there an intermittent thud/clunk from the rear when you put it into drive/reverse? It may be the wear in the prop donut at the diff end?

What miles are you at? Mine's just ticked over 68k and it's as smooth as silk... Maybe it could use an oil change? Even though they're meant to be 'sealed for life'

No thuds at all. In fact I would go as far as saying that all is as smooth as silk on mine as well but there is just that little noise between 1st and 2nd.. Just done 66K so I wouldn't expect it to be a major problem. Like you said, may just need an oil change?
