Air-conditioner E38

Hi all,

I am having a problem with the air con on my 740iL. It has always lagged getting cool air out the vents by about 5 minutes after start up. Had the gas checked, filters (all of them) replaced, even the pump was replaced under warranty. SO.... is there some computer programming that stops the cool air for a while whilst everything is "warming up" or what.

Can not understand why this would be happening, or is it just a e38 thing..... our 530i has no such problem.

Any help appreciated, its a bit warmer down here and going to get warmer.

My 1999 740i blows ice cold within a minute.
AC was last serviced in 2005, sorry I cannot offer any guidance.
