BMW 318TDS Turbo and intercooler upgrade

Hello new to the site, but recently bought an E36 318TDS touring to try and help me keep my driving licence had to sell my E36 328i Sport which was an amazing car, i was wondering if anyone had any advice about upgrading the turbo and intercooler on my 318tds to try and gain more power!! Car is standard engine at the moment but dont know where to start with upgrades, can i fit the turbo from the E36 325td?????
