My battery went flat in the 328 yesterday so I took it out to charge it today and once I reconnected it the alarm makes a click noise every second. This happens when the car is being driven and stationary. Also when alarming the car, the lights flash but it doesn't chirp any more, any ideas? I think it is a factory installed system with only one button on the FOB, its really winding me up :|

The alarm siren is shot. Depending on the year of car and type of remote fob you may have a siren that has a key with which it can be switched off, if you have the key, failing that as a short term solution you could just remove the siren.

Is there a tutorial on how to remove the siren, or do I just rip it out? biggrin Actually the clicking has stopped now, the bloody thing just doesn't turn over at all!
