decent bmw indy or good main dealer surrey/ berkshire

hi i have some problems with my e46 330 auto cab, the gearbox warning sign has come up and the heater packed in. is there anywhere good ideally colse to chertsey or maidenhead that would be able to fix this without costing mega money?
i am worried a main dealer will just insist on changing the auto box when it could be repaired.
