2001 e46 325i SE saloon - worth a punt?

Remember getting a 325i nearly ten years ago when I left a 316i Compact I was running into the dealers. Boy did it fly and I went back to the 316i with a heavy heart. Looking through our local rag this afternoon I see an old boy I knew years ago is selling his very nice e46 325i SE saloon. it has just over 60,000 miles on it and from his description its like new (FSH etc) in a nice metallic grey. Looking 'around £3500'.

I have a mint e34 5 series ('95 520i SE) that just lacks oomph and will sell easily in the new year. My last e46 was new 330D SE Touring in 2002 and I am out of touch with what I should be looking for. By the way the 325i is a manual.
