Oil for 2002 330i

Hi Guys,

What oils are you running in a 2002 330Ci and where do you buy it from ?

I am still using the recomended stuff which is mega ££££'s

I beleive Castrol Edge in 5w-30 is recommended. Where are you curently getting it from?

Im using Mobil 1 - 0W 40 and works fine, in my 2001 330i

That Castrol EDGE 5w - 30 is mainly developed for VW engines...

I usually get it from BMW dealer or Halfrauds but it's £13+ a Litre.

I thought there might be an alternative oil people use or an alternative place to buy it from.

Have you tried putting in your registration number into the webpage and it will tell you, ive just done it and it came up with 'Edge Sport 0W-40'

just looked at Halfrauds web and it is n iow £15.49 per Litre.

Join up, say you are from here and its £40 for 4 litres. I beleive you can get it from ebay at good prices, but that has its own issues IMO

I used this in my e36 318 and e46 330. Cheap in Costco too (£19.99+VAT for 4l).

Fuchs 5-40 'super synth' fully synthetic BMW spec long life oil. Get it from GSF for about £17 for 4ltrs, absolute bargain, don't tell everyone or they'll put the price up.
