I like the idea of the panaroamic sunroof on the 3 series touring. Are they reliable in the sense of leaking/wind noise etc? Do they justify a premium on a used car?

I have one on an E61 - does brighten up an otherwise dark interior (black headling and black seats). There's a slight amount of wind noise from time to time but not objectionable. More worrying is that the motors and the cartridge have both been replaced under warranty. It might help sell it to some buyers and turn others off - I would guess it nets up to whether or not you want one.

My thoughts exactly... it's certainl a nice-to-have option but my wife's X3 has had the panoramic roof replaced once under warranty... this would not have been cheap, had the car been out of warranty.

More annoyingly, she made such a fuss about having a sunroof when we bought the car, yet moans that the sun gets in the kids eyes when we actually use it (FFS!!)
