hello, just bought a 2002 330d SE with 70k on clock, i then had it remapped at a german car specialist, it feels more responsive but the when accelerating the power sort of surges, certainly not drastic but as the speedo goes up i feel it comin in waves, also my mpg has dropped to 42.3 when before it was 48mpg. it's also seems to run a bit noisier now too. is this normal? or maybe i am just being paranoid!
any comments would be appreciated!
thanks!!

I've heard of similar problems, and i think it was due to someone forgetting to move some torque limiters in the maps.
From what i remember, it's one file supplier's trademark F. Up!

I can't say it'll be totally safe, but i can't see any major problems though.

You might want to take a look at the EGR valve, which recycles exhaust gasses, and make sure it doesn't get all clogged up.
They get clogged up at the best of times, and if the fueling is set up right, and it's quite sooty, it'll speed the process up.
