E39 Passenger Door stuck
Discussion
Good Morning all.
I hope you all had a great Christmas,
I picked up a 02 Alpina B10 V8 last week and its wonderful. However i have come to it this morning after not using it for two days and there is a problem.
The passenger door is not unlocking, either with the remote or the central locking button. When you pull the door handle the pin comes up but goes straight down again.
Also the window button on the passenger door is not working but the window still works on the drivers side for the passenger window.
And the airbag warning light is on now. (door mounted airbags fitted)
im thinking that all these things are now connected, maybe the wiring loom connectors or a fuse?
I have checked the fuses both in the glove box and the boot and all is well, so im now stuck.
Can anyone offer any advice?
Any help will be very gratefully received.

Certainly sounds like there might be some water ingress into the connector between the door and the body. From memory I think you can disconnect it - might be worth seeing if it is wet / rusty and give it a clean up.
If not, random electrical gremlins are often linked to a failing ignition switch which is a £20 fix.
