I have an 850Ci and an 850CSi. Both are brilliant and really very different in character. I've had the Ci for 9 years and used it as my everyday car for a great deal of that time. It now has about 105k on the clock and still drives like new. Ive had my CSi for nearly 6 years and never cease to be amazed at how good it is and how very exciting it is to drive. It has about 108k on the clock. I use it regularly, though not so much over winter - when the Range Rover comes into its own. I maintain both cars meticulously, myself, and neither have proven particularly expensive to maintain. Parts availability is never an issue and the cars are a joy to work on. Neither have ever let me down, both have crossed Europe indecently quickly and in great comfort and both turn heads wherever they are seen.
Got a '91 850i. Love it to bits. Owned it for 5 years now, bought it on 77k and now on 103k.
As my learned friend Talkwrench says.. " neither have proven particularly expensive to maintain. Parts availability is never an issue and the cars are a joy to work on. Neither have ever let me down."
Took the words out of my mouth...
It is now being resprayed and I have retired her from the daily grind as I have bought a Range Rover Sport 2.7 TDV6 for that....

'91 850i 6 speed, rareish by all accounts. Off road and soon to be totally refurbished from the wheels up. May go the supercharger route. I've resigned myself that its gonna cost a small fortune and ill never see the money back but i love the car...simple as that. Its got 145,000miles on it but still feels a very tight solid car, made all the better by being a manual.

Well i have always liked the 8 series and the 0ld 6 series,if you guy's did'nt have an 8 series wat series would you have gone for ?
Well I spotted how cheap 8 series' were by accident, I was almost sure that my next car at the time would be a Civic Type R or Audi A3 but I just happened to spot one in the search results on Autotrader, it didn't take me long to change my mind as to what to buy next!E31Shrew said:
