any ides what this noise could be.

Hi all.

I have a 120d auto.Yesterday it started.When you are driving slowly you can hear a low level whine.When you turn the engine off this whine carries on, getting softer and softer till it stops can last up to 10 seconds.Do you think its the turbo?

At a guess I'd say it could be the fan on your air-con, I had a similar thing on a 3 series I was running. Took me ages to figure out what it was...

Hello buddy ,I was guessing that as well so the last 20 mile journey I made I did not turn the climate control on and it still happened.Dont think it is serious and still reckon it could be the case.The car drives ok.

Can't imagine it would be the Turbo but must say the only noise I hear on mine (118d man) is the fan / vents doing something.
