Replacement Rain Sensor Module - reset procedure?

Hi All

I've just replaced the rain sensor module on my E39 5 series, but it shows no sign of working after install (I know the sensor is fine) - is there some sort of reset procedure I need to follow to get it recognised and working?

Yes. you need a diagnostic. i use INPA. in there it has an adaption reset for the rain sensor.

very quick and easy to do.. go on bmwland or the like and find a forum member with INPA and get them to sort it for you
