The reason i ask is because somebody came to look at mt car today & we had a look on Parkers, typed in the extras, mileage etc & the price came back at way higher than i was expecting & the guys face was a picture once he realized how much they had valued it at. He offered me half the price as valued & as you can guess, i said no. I just wondered if Parkers were accurate or not please?

Glass' is spposed to be more accurate, and available online. Of course, it over estimates trade in value and under estimates dealer-sales value. Or so a dealer told me smile

Glass's Guide and CAP Black Book, proper versions, are trade publications that pride themselves on keeping up to date with values. As the trade use them fir valuations and pricing they need to be realistic. Of course if I was a trader I would say the 'trade in' price was high..... Current Market conditions are unpredictable but they are called 'the bible'.
