Anyone know of a garage that's good with the 8 series?

My friends having trouble with his 850i; it only seems to want to run on 1 bank of cylinders. It's been with an independent garage for weeks on end and had new lambda sensors, new throttle body and plugs. It was running rich and still a bit down on power when he got it back. Now it's back to 6 cylinders. He's reluctant to give it back to them as they seem to be operating purely on guesswork and don't seem at all confident working on the M70.

Does anyone have any experience with a similar problem? Any garages that are good with this model? (he's Birmingham based)

You can use Phoenixmotorsports in Camberley or Kevin Bird in Iver - both are very good with the 8 series, personally I have used both, Birds handle all BMW, Phoenix are specialists for the 8 series. Also I can recommend joing the 8 owners club www.8er.org you can find a massive amount of technical support there.
