Help-E90 2005 325i - uneven tickover problem/hesitation
Discussion
When driving today my car started stalling at junctions. When restarted it would tickover very unevenly at around 500rpm and you could feel it rocking from side to side.
Got back in it a couple of hours later and it seems a lot better/smoother but still thinks its idling at too low rpm. What is normal idle rpm?
Also noticed that take up in 3rd it not quick as quick as it should be..a moments hesitation before acceleration.
Anyone any ideas? Will it just need a small adjustment?
Thanks in advance for any advice

Hi pattyg.
I know you posted this a long time ago but did you find a solution?
My 2006 325i has done exactly what you have described and im eager to find out what it might be first before getting blinded with science at the garage.
The hesitation is ALWAYS present in kickdown and moderate acceleration. The stalling happened once on my way to tesco. when i came out it was fine (but with the engine light on that disappeared the following morning). Since then its happened a few times but it always ok after a small sleep!
Any help would be useful.
Cheers
Mike
