After purchasing a 525d SE estate (privately) this week, it transpires one of the allow wheels has a tiny crack. This has been discovered after replacing the run flat tyre. so the car is off the road...... leaving wife not amused . . .

May be changing tyres (and her!) to a standard model after good advice on here. thanks guys.

Anyway .....

does anyone have an 18" alloy for an e60 lying around or know anyone who does?? - private or breaker recommendations welcome.

The part number required is 6775645

Any help is much appreciated

thanks guys

- hadn't thought it could be repaired. it is such a small fracture but spans the width.

- been looking on ebay. online breakers - is there anyone you would recommend?

Well it's worth finding out before you fork out for a new one - didn't cost that much as I recall (£50 or some such). Your local alloy wheel specialist will sort you out smile

If it can be repaired then great, but I would be ensuring I only took that advise from a best-in-the-business supplier in order to get a 100% safety guarantee. If in any doubt, I'd fork out for a new one.

It's one of those bits of my car that I really wouldn't want to fail on me whilst driving!

thanks Matt. due to time pressures I have found a second hand one to go with just now. will check out the repair option and the company recommended to me before getting them to do anything.
thanks very much
