I wouldnt, but my sister did frown

From new
Fair play to her going for the pure driving experience etc
And just to run insult to injury she didnt spec the nav - for what its worth

So todays star prize goes to whoever gets closest to her trade in figure against a new SL or an M3 cabrio
Both MB and BMW have offered her within a whisker of the same

BMW 645i SE
Manual
No satnav
Usual spec, nothing special
40k miles
April 2005
58k new

Give it your best shot

Oddly thats the spec (Well, I'd want nav..) I find most appealing. Bet its great fun with a manual box and that lovely V8.

I'd say about that would leave a few k of profit in it for resale.

But then they might take the view that hell, this woman buys manual V8s with no nav, she clearly doesn't care, and offer her a Twix and a cup of tea for it.

I think tragically it's the kinda spec that will attract "take the piss" offers..

I did warn her that the lack of nav would be bad news come resale

Its a hell of a bargain though, if I didnt need 4wd Id be tempted myself

How much more would it have fetched with auto and nav? Those two options would probably have been about £3k on the new car, give or take a bit. Would having them make more then £3k difference on the trade-in price? Just a thought.

Silly girl.

Everyone knows for a car like that you need to spec cloth and not slidey leather.

You live and learn.

Perhaps Garlick would consider chopping his Rangie in for it?

It's deemed as a luxury car - hence people want all the toys. That said - I actively looked for a manual one before I bought the auto.

For that sort of car I would be looking at :

Bluetooth
Heated seats
Nav
Voice control
Heads up
Leather
Electric memory , electric mirrors etc
