e46 key programming w reg 316 or 318?

Anyone help me my cousin has a problem
Has a e46 engine blew so he changed the engine.
got the ecu and module which goes by the pedals inside car from the donor car.
Has the original key to the car but not the one relating to that ecu
or module.
How can he get it programmed to work ??? at the moment he is getting no spark been told its the imobilizer not turning off ????
Any ideas he is in Birmingham and really struggling trying to solve it
