I've been after a new car for a bit now, and have seen a 54 reg 325ci Msport coupe in mystic blue, its done 47k. Its up for 11.999 is this price about right? I checked what car and parkers and they came in at about 10500 from a franchised dealer, so is it overpriced?? Also anything I should look out for on these?

I am sure you can get a similarly aged 330Ci for that sort of money, so my advice would be to do that.
Mine is a mystic blue 330Ci........

I would love a 330 but the insurance would be even higher I assume? Love the car though, I would only want Mystic Blue!!

I'm assuming from that picture that it's from a BMW main dealer? If so, I'd expect the price to be on the high side, but you have to take into account the fact you get a good warranty for a year with no milage excess, full years mot with mot cover, if it's due a service within 4000 miles (I think, may be 3000 miles) it'll be done and if the tyres are below 3mm they'll be changed.

You are best off checking what others have them advertised for, both at main dealers and independants. You can of course always make them an offer on the price too, I got £1000 off mine from a BMW dealer last year.

i wouldnt pay that, plus alcantara seats = impossible to sell

i got a 2001 330ci 32k for £7,800 a year ago

Admitedly not a facelift model but its virtually the same car!

insurance will be a little more than a 325 but seriously get a 330 you will only kick yourself later for not.

I had a 51 plate 325ci Se as a company car- ran it up to 85k miles with no problems and it drove better than ever when I handed it back. My wife subsequently had a 330cd and I've driven a friends 330ci which were both great (but if I was buying an older car I think petrol is a better bet than diesel due to turbo failures). In summary I'd say the 325 is good but the 330's are great (although the majority of the 330s seem to be autos). I'd say £11,995 is a bit toppy on price but probably fair enough from a BMW main dealer (given the warranty etc you get). Also whilst personally I really like mystic blue my understanding is that it is less popular than silver,silver-grey or black. Similarly whilst I like the standard alcantara seats the market prefers leather.

Thanks for the replies, gives me something to think about. I'm not really a fan of leather tbh, so the alcantara would suit me fine even if it is more hassle to sell on in the future.
